PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Learn how to REALLY support your client’s who struggle with food addiction, emotional and binge eating.

  • Obtain official certification as a Professional Food Addiction Coach (PFAC) through this 13 week course.

  • Have a clear understanding around the ethical and professional considerations that coaches need to be aware of, when working with clients struggling with food addiction and emotional eating. 

  • Learn the neuroscience behind addiction and brain chemistry as it relates to food.

  • Learn how to support clients to create awareness of the underlying mental and behavioral health aspects that are driving their food addiction; and support them to create personalized strategies to manage in a healthy way.

PRE-REQUISITE & COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS

Coaches and other professionals must have already completed prior certification and/or training; as this is an advanced area of specialty.

  • Time Commitment Required: Two-hour weekly live sessions and one hour reading/listening for each weekly module. There are optional client demo videos and exercises for deeper learning that can be done at your own pace.

  • Text Books: No required textbooks to purchase, a module based guide will be provided each week (audio version available).  Additional resources will be shared for ongoing learning or a deeper dive, but are not required reading.

  • Recording Replay: YES there will be a recording for replay.

  • Exams:  There will be a multiple-choice quiz at the end of each module that requires a 100% score; can be taken as many times as needed.  All must be completed for program completion and to obtain certification and claim (26) CE’s. 

  • Attendance: Must attend each weekly session live. Maximum two sessions in the series may be completed through the video replay option to be considered full participation for attendance along with completion of the quiz and still obtain CEs.
